JOB DETAILS:
Duties
• Responsible for finding potential properties for the Embassy housing pool while ensuring that all residences conform to Department of State standards as set out in 15 Foreign Affairs Manual
• (FAM), negotiating with landlords on leases, ensuring that houses are ready for new occupants and are in good condition and suitable before arrival and departure of occupants.
• Exercises full supervisory responsibility for the Housing Assistants in the execution of all operational matters and responsibilities; Providing work allocation and on-the-job training to housing section assistants and recognizes training needs, monitors and reviews the results.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years of progressive experience in Real Estate Mangement, Law, Logistics, Hospitality is required; One year of supervisory experience is required.
• JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a working knowledge of local city real estate laws, regulations, and procedures as they relate to residential leasing and contracting is required. Must have a 5 year valid Zambian driver’s Class B license.

Education Requirements:
• At least two years of college or university studies is required.

Evaluations:
• LANGUAGE: Must have fluent, written/spoken (including an ability to translate) English.
• SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment and use standard PC software and USG programs for submitting and monitoring work orders and preparing correspondence is required. Ability to deal tactfully with all levels of personnel or individuals. Ability to multitask and liaise with different sections of the Mission is required. Good oral and written communication skills.
Good working knowledge – level 3 proficiency in computer skills.
