JOB DETAILS:
General Description
• The Recruitment Associate assists in ensuring the quality of the Northrise University student application and admission process. They help implement strategies to identify, attract, and admit high quality, diverse students from around Zambia and beyond.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
1. Help in coordinating and facilitating all logistics associated with hosting on-campus activities and target high schools, including scheduling events, career fairs, information sessions, tech talks, meet and greet opportunities, open houses and interviews.
2. Manage event logistics at target high schools including, conducting student outreach, securing event space, organizing materials prior to events, ordering catering, and developing supporting collateral materials for on-campus events.
3. Work closely with university recruiters, the Recruitment Manager and campus teams to coordinate on campus interviews and phone interviews
4. Review and qualify application forms for various potential students.
5. Track and maintain necessary recruiting materials for successful event planning, including booth displays, banners, etc. Reorder as necessary.
6. Help build the campus recruiting calendar for each recruiting cycle.
7. Work on special projects as assigned, such as review and propose social media strategies, data management and analytics and branding.
8. Participate in related programs and process improvement projects as needed.
9. Prioritize multiple functions, tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast paced, changing work environment.
10. Build and maintain relationships with target candidates as well as business partners, including all levels of employees/partners, university officials, organizations, faculty members, department heads, and so on.
11. Provide periodic reporting and status updates on the progress of university recruiting to the Recruitment Manager.
12. Responsible for the accuracy of all information regarding the local office’s university recruiting activities contained in recruit tracking system.
13. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Work Experience Requirements
1. Experience in university recruiting, administrative support of recruiting, with experience in campus / university recruiting a plus.
2. Minimum of two years of recruiting students or related experience – campus recruiting coordination experience a plus.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field.
Key Competences
1. Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.
2. Strong administrative skills, documentation skills, and detail-orientation and a demonstrated proficiency with reporting tools and databases.
3. Knowledge of tracking processes for university applicants a plus.
4. Strong problem solving skills.
5. Exceptional planning, organization and project management skills.
6. Detail oriented with a proven track record of juggling multiple tasks and meeting various deadlines.
7. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access or other databases a plus.
8. Proven team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Event planning experience a plus.
