REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES - INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT)

Assignment Title: Consulting services for the development of teacher professional development index (TPDI).

The Government of the Republic of Zambia through the Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Zambia Education Enhancement Project (ZEEP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services ("the Services") include the development of a Teacher Professional Development Index (TPDI) for Zambia as an integral and integrated component of the Teacher Education component of ZEEP-AF and its subsequent application to each core element of the reform program such as pre-service and in- service teacher education programs.
The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be obtained at the address given below.
The Ministry of Education now invites qualified and experienced individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should submit their CVs demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are;
• Minimum of master's degree with extensive knowledge of teacher education policy, practice and research relating to PRESET and INSET in developed and developing countries.
• A minimum of five years' experience in leadership of complex multifaceted teacher education development programs in a Global South context.
• A minimum of ten years' experience working on similar large-scale competency-based teacher education reform programs
• Extensive experience in curriculum design and development for initial teacher education and in-service training programs in contexts similar to that of Zambia.
• Proven expertise in pedagogical capacity development in a Global South context.
• A comprehensive knowledge of international good practice in teacher certification policy and practice in both developed and developing countries.
