2. Expected profile of the Consultancy firm
The suitable consultancy firm should show an overall understanding of Agroecology, Integrated Land Use Design (ILUD), Environmental Education and Sustainable Land Use in Schools including related policies and frameworks. The firm should show evidence of knowledge and demonstrable experience in carrying out baseline studies related to outlined overall understanding requirements. Evidence of similar work in the recent past will be a key requirement.
Specifically, the lead consultant should have the following qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Degree in social science, environmental or agricultural science or a related field;
• A professional command of English, both oral and written; good report-writing skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel, power point and access)
• Experience in implementing, designing, or coordinating programmes;
• Analytical and conceptual ability; demonstrated understanding of baseline survey design and social research methods
• Demonstrate understanding of project monitoring and evaluation;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Understanding of the social, political and economic context is an asset
• The consultant(s) must have experience in using the DAC criteria.
3. Quotation Requirements Interested consulting firms must include in their application a detailed technical and financial proposal with the following components:
3.1. Technical
• Understanding and interpretation of the TOR
• Detailed Methodology including sampling techniques, data collection and analysis methods to be used in undertaking the assignment
• Time and activity schedule
• Profile of the Consultant/ consultants
• Samples of two most recent related works (and/or references for the same)
• Curriculum vitae of key personnel
3.2. Financial – in Zambian Kwacha
