Job Purpose:
The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance brand visibility. The role involves managing sales teams, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring business profitability through effective sales and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to increase sales.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to enhance competitiveness.
2. Marketing & Brand Management:
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
• Oversee advertising, promotions, digital marketing, and public relations activities.
• Ensure effective product positioning, pricing strategies, and packaging to meet market demands.
• Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to enhance product offerings.
3. Sales Team Leadership & Performance Management:
• Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve set targets.
• Monitor sales team performance, set KPIs, and provide coaching and support.
• Foster a high-performance sales culture through continuous training and motivation.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients, wholesalers, and retailers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt service delivery and quality assurance.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
5. Financial & Reporting Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis.
• Ensure profitability through cost-effective sales and marketing strategies.
Job Specifications & Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the milling, FMCG, or agribusiness industry.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in leading sales teams and developing business growth strategies.
• All qualifications must be certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
