Job Title: School Sports Officer
Level: 5.II
Reports To: Director of School Leadership Management Unit

Job Description
• To ensure whether money meant for capitation grant is used for the interest of sports in school;
• To coordinate activities for the Rwanda Federation of school sports;
• To verify whether all schools have sports facilities and intervene where they are lacking or insufficient;
• To provide awareness on importance of sports for student health and ensure all schools do sports in schools;
• To ensure whether school administration verifies whether all pupils in primary schools and students in secondary schools do different sports;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical education in Education/Sports.
Key technical skills and knowledge required:
• General knowledge on Rwanda education system;
• Report writing and presentation skills;
• Computer literacy;
• Collaboration and team working skills;
• Effective communication skills;
• Management and administrative skills;
• Time management;
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French; knowledge of all these three (3) languages is an advantage.
