Requirements

Job Description
● Consistently come up with themes and ideas (think tank for company film projects)
● Research background material
● Develop plots and characters
● Lay out the screenplay to an agreed format
● Prepare short summaries of your ideas
● Pitch to company executives and producers
● Get feedback on your work from producers or script editors
● Rewrite the script before arriving at an agreed version
● Work on all projects as assigned
● Attend all writer’s meetings and story retreats

Experience
A minimum of 2 years writing experience.
Education
● Grade 12 (‘O’ Level Certificate) with a Merit or Distinction in English (Comprehension and Literature)
● A good understanding of Television/Film. Basic Film School education is an added advantage.
Language
● Fluency in English Language (both spoken and written) with excellent communication skills
● Fluency in any one of the local languages – Bemba, Tonga, Lozi, and Nyanja/Chewa (both spoken and written)
