JOB DETAILS:
KCM SmelterCo Limited a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM Plc) is one of the largest copper and cobalt processing companies in Zambia. It operates an underground mine in Nampundwe, a refinery in Kitwe, and a crushing & milling plant, a tailings leach plant and a state of the art smelter in Chingola. To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the above position at Nkana Refinery and Nampundwe Mine.

Job Purpose:
• Perform analytical work and investigations, by carrying out routine and non-routine analysis.
• Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring all equipment / instruments are calibrated as per documented schedule
• Maintain and sustain requirements of ISO 9001:2015 quality standard
• Check and issue out analytical results and reports to production departments
• Conduct inter – laboratory exchange programmes
• Carry out tasks as may be required by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• University Degree in Chemistry or related Chemical Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years industrial experience in a mining laboratory
• Ability to effectively handle high volume of work with minimum supervision
• Quality focused, detail oriented strong demonstrable analytical and communication skills

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
