Overview
The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and
Industry, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the following vacant positions:
Position: Senior Accountant Revenue (1)

Purpose Of The Job:
To supervise and undertake effectively financial planning and treasury management in order to mobilize financial resources, ensure the Agency’s liquidity and reduce insolvency risk.

Qualifications
• Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate
• Full ACCA /CIMA/CAZ or equivalent
• Degree in Accounting or Finance, Associate member of ZICA.

Key Result Area and Responsibilities
• Planning and Budgeting: Supervises and undertakes timely the preparation and implementation of the Agency’s budget and annual work plans in order to facilitate resource mobilisation and implementation of programmes.
• Treasury Management: Supervises and undertakes cash and working capital management in
order to ensure the Agency’s liquidity and reduce insolvency risk.
• Project Appraisal: Undertakes effectively financial appraisal of capital projects in order to ensure value for money investments and achieve optimal financing.
• Internal Controls: Supervises and undertakes the development and implementation of revenue
collection and cash management internal controls in order to mitigate against financial risks and enhance the reliability of financial reporting.
• Management Reporting: Supervises and undertakes timely the preparation of accurate
management reports in order to facilitate management decision making.
• Debt Collection: Supervises and undertakes timely the collection of monies owed to the Agency
in order to ensure recovery of funds due to the Agency.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinates the audit process related to revenue and cash management in order to enhance proper accountability.
• Resource Management: Manages effectively Human, financial and other resources to ensure attainment of the Agency’s objectives.
• Performance Management: Manages the implementation of performance management systems in the department in order to monitor and evaluate individual and departmental performance.
