CHAI launched its viral hepatitis program in 2015 with the objective of catalyzing the launch of national HCV screening and treatment programs in seven high burden countries in Africa and Asia, driving increased affordability of medicines and diagnostics across LMICs. Building off initial lessons learned, efforts to dive scale-up towards elimination are underway.
