JOB DETAILS:
• Job Purpose
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring our facilities are maintained in a safe and efficient manner and will be responsible for working on all stages of our production cycles, from research and design to manufacturing, installation, and evaluation. Install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment faults on site.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Maintain the facilities maintenance schedule
• Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance.
• Manage corrective maintenance for both mining depots, mining service stations, commercial customer to the mine located on the mine or of the mine and office facilities
• Ensure correct administration of all requisition received from internal and external customers; issue orders to contractors and confirmation of work
• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problem
• Participate in lubricant surveys and audits to identify improvements
to induce savings on maintenance cost through promoting specialized
ranges
• Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
• Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing propertie
• Ensure all contractors adhere to all legislated and company HSEQ requirements
• Offer Product (fuel and lubricants) technical support to Clients, knowledge on OEM specifications and requirements in conjunction with the Lube Engineer Mines
• Trouble shoot product technical problems and protect the best interest of the product
• Product analysis (i.e. ANAC, ISO cleanliness levels) with recommendations for improvement
• Perform and supervise maintenance-related repairs
• Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure the safe operation of the facility
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
• Review all documentation to ensure proper data collection
• Led, train and supervise maintenance workers
• Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfil requirements.
• Analyzing problems or deficiencies and developing solutions to resolve them.
• Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.
• Creating plans and designs using CAD technology
• Effectively manage employees through applying the company People Management principles, and to develop, coach and mentor subordinates to promote a positive working environment which will attract and retain skilled staff and increase productivity
• Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
• Collaborating with Project Managers and other Engineers

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Tribology qualifications a Must
• Must have a minimum of 6-8 years post-qualification experience in Lubes/ petroleum or comparable industry
• Must have vast experience in the oil industry with sound experience in product
cleanliness requirements, the maintenance of logistics, marketing, and
corporate services assets.
• Must be a member of the EIZ/ERB with a VALID practicing license
