JOB DETAILS:
In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant positions:

9.0 SENIOR INSPECTOR – INTELLIGENCE AND INFORMATION, GRADE ZRA04 (1 POSITION) CGS OFFICE

A. PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director – Corporate Intelligence, the job holder will be responsible for managing the provision of intelligence information relating to deliberate schemes aimed at evading taxes administered by the Zambia Revenue Authority.

B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Collaborating with the Assistant Director – Corporate Intelligence in setting intelligence expectations and tasks;
• Supervising and managing the receipt of information and evaluation of information reports by Intelligence Officers;
• Planning, facilitating and supervising the conduct of surveillance exercises and obtaining search warrants for case development;
• Supervising regular maintenance and updating of the intelligence database/information index for jobs under Intelligence and Investigations;
• Supervising and managing the handling of informers in accordance with set procedure;
• Planning, building, coordinating and implementing data collection and analytical plans aimed at strengthening tax compliance;
• Executing and supervising the collation of information by linking it with other related information held on tax systems so as to further develop information into intelligence products;
• Systematically developing, organising, researching and analysing information;
• Producing assessments of criminal activity;
• Ensuring that information is available to the Assistant Director – CI and other appropriate persons in accordance with procedure;
• Supervising timely maintenance of logs of distribution or requests of information or intelligence;
• Identifying and recommending resources needed and to monitor their use and security; and
• Managing and effectively supporting the performance and personal development plans of subordinate staff.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade Twelve School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Equivalent,
• Bachelor of arts or science degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Purchasing and Supply Management and Finance,
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant post qualifying work experience in any Operating Division and/or Investigations,
• One-year post-qualifying work experience in tax intelligence work, informant handling and information processing and collection techniques; and
• Basic training/certification in investigations and the law and/or basic financial fraud investigations.
