JOB DETAILS:
a. Job Purpose
To undertake and supervise the development and implementation of a robust and integrated Loan Recovery System in order to facilitate loan repayments and enhance sustainability of the higher education Fund.
b. Principal Accountabilities
• Undertaking periodically the development and review of policies, regulation and guide lines in order to guide loan repayments;
• Undertaking and supervising regularly the maintenance and updating of the Loan Recovery Database in order to facilitate storage, retrieval and processing of information;
• Undertaking and supervising periodically the development and review of Loans Recovery System in order to facilitate loan repayments;
• Undertaking and supervising timely preparation of Loan Recovery Reports in order to provide information for decision making;
• Undertaking effectively collaborations and liaisons with key stakeholders in order to increase loan recovery rates and enhance sustainability of the Fund;
• Undertaking and supervising timely monitoring and evaluation of sectional programs in order to assess their impact and facilitate the development of appropriate interventions;
• Coordinating timely development of work plans and implementation of Annual Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance; and
• Supervising effectively human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of departmental objectives.
c. Qualifications and Experience
• Full Grade 12 Certificate;
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Public Administration or its equivalent; and
• Minimum relevant job experience of 5 years, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level.
d. Skills and Attributes
• Able to write Technical and Analytical reports;
• Data Analytics using software such as SPSS, Stata, R and Power Bl; and
• Able to communicate fluently in English.
