JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Senior Resource Mobilization Officer will work with the Head of Programs/CD and will be in charge of developing and managing campaigns that bring in donations from various sources. This will include identifying and interacting with potential donors through connection strategies ranging from fundraising events to crowdsourcing campaigns to public relations. Take the lead in building good relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams, delegating tasks, and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met,

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting research on fundraising opportunities.
• Writing, submitting, and uploading press releases as required.
• Write, edit, and prepare high-quality funding proposals and grant applications that effectively communicate our mission and project goals.
• Developing and executing fundraising strategies
• Preparing quarterly budgets.
• Coming up with ingenious ways to raise awareness
• Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborating with the Head of Programme and subject matter experts to gather information about our projects and initiatives.
• Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders
• Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media
• Ensure all proposals are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with the guidelines of each funding source.
• Providing updates or checking in with regular or recurring supporters
• Planning and hosting fundraising events
• Assigning tasks and supervising the progress of staff members
• Maintain a database of submitted proposals, track progress, and follow up on grant applications.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum undergraduate university degree (Development Studies, PR or Related)
• Must have a minimum of 4-6 years of fundraising experience with International NGOs
• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years in Proposal Writing and Presentation (must be winning proposals)
• Proven experience in fundraising and securing multi-year large grants
• Proven experience in resource mobilization or business development experience in NGOs.
• Experience managing a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Must have exposure to advanced management and leadership programs.
