JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Senior SGBV Prevention and Advocacy Officer (SPAO) will provide technical support and oversee the development and execution of NCA's SGBV prevention and advocacy work in the Natwampane programme. SPAO is responsible for development and dissemination of advocacy papers, documentation of stories of change and sharing of promising practices.

Summary of Key Responsibilities will be as follows
• Together with partners, identify key areas for advocacy. develop and disseminate advocacy papers. Key areas could be harmful practices, gaps in services, limited/ poor quality control of services, and lack of systematically measure prevention interventions.
• Organize follow up events around the advocacy papers, including engaging key stakeholders.
• Coordination and mobilization of partners and relevant stakeholders on influencing public policy and advocacy interventions as needed in various programmatic work. Prevention:
• Provide guidance and ongoing support and technical assistance to the implementation and monitoring of prevention activities In Liaison with Natwampane Communication team. develop content and supervise the production process of the project IEC materials Communication:
• Implementation of the Programme publications provides inputs, content development, coordination of production and dissemination of press releases, publications, articles and sharing of programme knowledge and successes on quarterly basis.
• Support the implementation of programme communication strategy
• Organization of publicity, knowledge-sharing events, and promotional of programme opportunities.
• Document of change stories and package them for sharing with various partners
• Compile in a timely manner activity pictures and share with donor through agreed upon approval process.

Programmatic:
Review of monthly reports Jointly with partner, support exit and sustainability meetings with various stakeholders in Luapula province

Required Skills and Abilities
• Excellent Writer- ability to formulate key problems and shift them into advocacy papers targeting policy and decision makers in government line ministries. Ability to identify, interview and write compelling stories of change
• Excellent Communicator-ability to discern information, communicate and share the information timeously to specific target audiences An eye for detail
• An Ear and an Eye for news to inform programming

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Communications: Journalism, Public Relations, Research, or Related Field
• At least a minimum of 5 years' work experience in similar environment.
• At least a minimum of 3 years' experience in gender /SGBV related work in prevention and/or advocacy programmes initiatives. Knowledge of the NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) sector
• Fluency in English and Bemba is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Content Management
Systems, and Social Media Platforms.
• Should be ready to stay and work in Mansa - Luapula
