JOB DETAILS:
The Youth Program Advisor has regional responsibilities to ensure meaningful and effective integration of youth services across selected regional community providers. This position provides technical assistance in designing, implementing and evaluating youth projects, with particular focus on youth friendly Information, Education and Communication material. The Youth Program Advisor II supports the youth capacity building of partner NGO’s as well as training of youth volunteers. .
Responsibilities
• Collaborates with global technical units to develop project designs, timelines, budgets, and work plans
• Manages, coordinates and provides technical assistance for the implementation and evaluation of youth services
• Ensures capacity building of youth leaders and volunteers across selected regional areas
• Identifies and establishes new partnerships and initiatives, as well as strengthens existing ones, at the regional level, in order to promote the inclusion of abortion and/or youth in agendas and projects; support youth-led events; and strengthen Ipas’ external leadership role on youth and abortion
• Develops capacity building and training objectives, agendas, tools and materials on youth friendly CAC services; plans and conducts workshops for colleagues as well as external stakeholders and partners
• Develops and conducts training for youth volunteers
• Prepare and write monthly report on youth work in region
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimal Requirements for Position
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 4-5 years’ experience
• 2-3 years project design experience required
• Previous experience with women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights
• Must be able to independently produce project work plans, timelines and budgets, as well as proposals and reports
• Must have prior work experience with youth or in communication and training
• Ability to travel 10%
