Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design of data collection tools to provide LODA management with systematic and robust data to support social protection planning, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Assist in the preparation of guidelines to support data collection, including detailed training materials, which will be delivered by the Data Analyst directly and be used for “Train the Trainers” approach;
  • Design development and application of tools and techniques to ensure quality data for SSPP: NSDS and CRVS databases, among others;
  • Provide inputs to define the appropriate performance indicators based on the analyzed data, in order to achieve the objectives of the project;
  • Responsible for a strategic oversight of compiling and visualizing statistical information to allow for easy interpretation of data and distilling insights related to social protection and nutrition programs;
  • Make analysis and interpretation of such data to support programme management and effective monitoring;
  • Distill and contribute statistical and other analysis for presentation in graphical or tabular form, including statistical data for situational reports, periodical reports or any other reports required to be produced by the client or stakeholders;
  • Contribute to the design of databases and management information systems;
  • Support the World Bank missions to review the project by participation in field missions and preparation of reports and analysis.

Job Profile

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree (A0) in statistics, Applied mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in social economic large data management and analysis;
  • Deep understanding of various research methodologies and statistics concepts;
  • Knowledge of various statistical and data visualization software packages, excellent knowledge of Excel;
  • Preferable experience working in the public sector, particularly in social protection and/or health programs;
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques;
  • Excellent writing skills, and ability to “tell the story with data”;
  • Proven ability to prepare statistical and technical reports for publication;
  • Knowledge of the theory, systems and application of statistical research methodology;
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills;
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail;
  • High level communication skills, experience in the design and delivery of training
  • Time management Skills;
  • Team working Skills;
  • Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English, knowledge of French is an added advantage
