JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Sociologist, the job holder will be responsible for the integration of the social issues into the care, maintenance and construction of the Country’s road network In accordance with the Country’s policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities will include:
a) Integrating of social safeguards in contract documents;
b) Conducting RAP implementation prior to the commencement of civil works; c) Coordinating functional grievance redress committee and registers;
d) Preparation of compliance monitoring reports;
e) Conducting of meaningful stakeholder engagement meetings; and
f) Paying courtesy to the Project Affected Parties (PAPs).

Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate;
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as developmental studies, sociology, social work, or social sciences from a reputable training institution;
• Minimum of five (5) years post qualification working experience;
• Prior experience of working with communities and on donor funded projects will be an added advantage;

Skills and Attributes
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proven strong writing and analytical skills;
• Ability to communicate in at least two local languages;
• Familiarity with the relevant Government procedures and regulations;
• Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint email and the internet; and

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
