Bantoo Accounting Innovations is a professional outsourcing and technology consulting company. We love to solve hard problems and build inspiring solutions that change the world for the better. Our clients include small businesses, international organizations, governments and large corporations.
We need a Software Developer to join our growing team. Your role will include designing solutions, writing documentation, deploying new applications, and maintaining existing platforms. Our technology stack includes Flutter, Python, Javascript, Linux, and relational and document databases. Our team is still relatively small so you will be comfortable with the occasional changes in areas of focus from one agile sprint to another.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who:
• Is based in any part of Zambia, preferably Lusaka or Kitwe
• Has analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can use their own initiative and is comfortable working remotely
• Has excellent communication and team working abilities
• Is comfortable interacting with clients directly
• Can lead (or learn to lead and mentor) a team as we grow
• Has a broad skillset and adaptability with a desire to learn new technologies and apply these on a day to day basis

In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must:
• Have experience with HTML, JavaScript, and Flutter (Dart)
• Have some experience working with REST APIs
• Be comfortable with databases MariaDB/MySQL
• Have experience developing server-side technologies with Python, Node JS, or PHP
• Have some understanding of version control using Github
• Have some experience with the Linux command line and core Linux system services
• Have some understanding of cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean

Nice to Have:
• Self-taught
• Be comfortable with No SQL databases
• Some understanding of business applications
• Human-Centered Design
• Would love to work in a startup
• Have a basic understanding of networking
