Stakeholder and Regulatory Affairs Specialist
The position falls under the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Department and will be responsible for monitoring regulatory matters and engaging stakeholders to mitigate business risks and threats. The Role will also support the creation of CCBZ positions, and where necessary, policies on key regulatory issues, manage internal and external stakeholders to support CCBZ’s compliance and implementation of regulatory projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Manager to identify, prioritise and manage all key regulatory threats facing the business.
• Track and maintain key regulatory issues facing the business and support the development of strategic responses as required.
• Establish partnerships/ relationships with regulatory authorities to deliver commercial value to CCBZ
• Recommend political, business, and technical solutions/alternatives to drive and support business responses to regulatory developments
• Input into the development of Risk Mitigation Plans and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy
• Represent business at relevant industry bodies and effectively make use of engagement platforms to influence outcome
• Identify and continuously engage all critical internal and external stakeholders (i.e. policy makers and industry for support of key business issues as identified with PA & Strategic Regulatory Management team within business unit)
• Proactively identify key stakeholders to mitigate business regulatory risks.
• Develop and implement a policy & risk monitoring system, Zambia provincial and Local Government engagement policy, and identified stakeholder relationship management plans.
Skills, Experience & Education
• Degree in Law from a recognized University
• 5 credits of better at grade 12, including English and Mathematics
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in Law/ Public Policy in food or beverages industry
• Experience in Corporate Affairs Department will be an added advantage
