Supervisor, Sandblasting & Painting

Purpose of the role:
• This role is responsible for supervising activities of all sandblasting and painting works in the process plant and the workshop in order to provide support services to the mine operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• To supervise and oversee painting works required in all sections of the mine site.
• To ensure safety, quality and productivity are maintained at all times in the working areas.
• To complete, maintain and control statuary compliances log-books.
• Manage the movement and placing of materials in a safe and controlled manner.
• Manage the area clean-up and servicing other sections.
• Manage the utilization of materials paints and Grit.
• To manage MSDS
• To assist with skills development on our workforce.
• Be able to guide the Sand blasting crew on the handling of chemical paints and sand blasting equipment
• Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor.

Qualification, Experience & Skill:
• G12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate from recognized institution.
• A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor.
• 5 years’ experience as a blaster/painter
• Have good knowledge of sand blasting and painting.
• Have good knowledge of rigging and scaffolding.
• Have good knowledge of different paints.
