JOB DETAILS:
World Vision Zambia (WVZ) Limited is a faith-based Organization dealing with Relief aid, Development, and Advocacy dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. WVZ is part of World Vision International and serves all people regardless of religion, race, tribe, or gender. We are currently working on 38 large-scale programs in over 30 districts in Zambia.
Position: Supply Chain Assistant
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Lusaka
Purpose of the Position:
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Officers in carrying out all World Vision Zambia procurement activities.

Major Responsibilities:
• Conducts the competitive bid analysis and take minutes then submit to supply chain officer for review
• Draft contracts and generate purchase orders using world vision’s supply chain management system
• Maintain the procurement system order tracking tool report (POTT) by reconciling supply chain management system provision Generate weekly requisition status report for management review
• Log supplier invoices, prepare their payments and make sure that they are timely submitted to accounts for payment with correct documentation.
• Compilation and submission of monthly invoice report for accrual
• Maintain a systematic filling of all procurement files and ensure the filling is always updated and easily understood by all and keep documents losses at 0%
• Contribute to the development, and implementation of a comprehensive suppliers’ database including catalogues of various products and prices

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:
• Diploma in Procurement and Supply
• 2years of experience in a similar job
• Registered member of ZIPS
• Communications, interpersonal, analytical, conflict management, negotiation, and networking skills are highly desired
• Experience in similar NGOs would an added advantage,
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment, and must be a mature Christian.
