SUMMARY OF ROLE: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Stores Officer to join our dynamic Maintenance & Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient, receiving, handling, storage, and issuance of aircraft parts, tools, and materials in accordance with aviation regulatory standards and company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, inspect, and store aircraft parts and materials in line with technical and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.
- Liaise with finance to ensure reconciliation on the parts received and issued.
- Ensure traceability and certification compliance of all items.
- Issue materials and tools to engineering personnel as required.
- Monitor shelf-life items and initiate timely replacement or disposal.
- Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment.
- Support audits by ensuring full documentation and physical traceability.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations in the stores area.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, Logistics or related field.
- At least 1-year prior experience in aviation stores management.
- Knowledge of aviation industry trends and regulations is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with aircraft parts, tooling, and industry documentation.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Member of the Zambia institute of Purchasing and Supply is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of working with computers.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to uphold high safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced aviation environment.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Proficient in MS Computer packages.
