MHID/PSU/W/12/2021 - Tender for Construction of the Entrance Canopy, Guard Houses, Duty Room, Perimeter Fence, Water Supply System and Other Associated External Works at the New Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MIHUD) has received financing from the Government of the Republic of Zambia and wishes to apply a portion of these funds to cover eligible payments for the construction of the entrance canopy, guard houses, duty room, perimeter fence, water supply system and other associated external works at the New Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MIHUD) now invites sealed bids from Bidders registered with the National Council for Construction in Category B or C, Grade 2 or 3 ONLY to tender for construction of the entrance canopy, guard houses, duty room, perimeter fence, water supply system and other associated external works at the New Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka
And have a VAT certificate and Valid Tax Clearance Certificate with Zambia Revenue Authority, proof of which should be shown.

Preferential Procurement regulations apply as per provisions of the Statutory Instrument No. 36 of 2011 on preferential procurement, to be read in conjunction with The Citizens Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006, as read together with the Zambia Public Procurement Act No. 12 of 2008 and a preference scheme will apply to eligible citizen companies as follows:
Citizen-Influenced Companies - 4 percent
Citizen-empowered Companies - 8 percent
Citizen-Owned Companies - 12 percent

Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the office of the Head- Procurement and Supplies Unit, situated between United Nations Avenue, opposite the Zambia Information and Communication Technology (ZICTA) Ridgeway, Lusaka upon payment of non-refundable fee of K500.00 in Cash/Bank Certified Cheque. However, telegraphic, telefax and/or electronic bids will not be accepted

All foreign bidders MUST partner with Zambian contractors registered with the National Council for Construction (NCC) in Category B or C, Grade 2 or 3 ONLY
A MANDATORY Site Visit will be held on Tuesday 19th October, 2021 and all bidders are requested to meet at the construction site of the New Mulungushi International Conference Centre at 09.00 hours.

Submission Procedure
All bids, in sealed envelopes and accompanied by a bid security of 2 % of the bid sum from a reputable commercial bank duly signed and sealed by the guarantors or an insurance bid bond from a reputable insurance company, clearly marked "MIHUD/PSU/W/12/2021 - Tender for construction of the entrance canopy, guard houses, duty room, perimeter fence, water supply system and other associated external works at the New Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka”, must be deposited in the tender box on the first floor, Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Box 50235 Lusaka on or before Wednesday 27th October, 2021 at 10.30 hours' local time. The bids received shall be opened immediately thereafter in the Conference Room of the, Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LATE BIDS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED
