TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED CANCER TREATMENT CENTRES IN LIVINGSTONE (LOT 2) AND NDOLA (LOT 3) AND EXTENSION TO CANCER DISEASES HOSPITALIN LUSAKA (LOT 1), ZAMBIA, TENDER NO: MOH/ORD/W/001/2022 - UNDER THE OPEN INTERNATIONAL BIDDING (OIB)

The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) through the Ministry of Health (MoH) has received a loan from BADEA and OPEC Fund which is to be provided towards the cost of Construction of the Proposed Cancer Treatment Centres in Livingstone (Lot 2) and Ndola (Lot 3) and Extension of Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka (Lot 1), Zambia The MoH intends to apply part of the proceeds of this budget to eligible payments under the Contract for which this invitation for bids is issued.

The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Tender of the Proposed Construction of the Cancer Treatment Centres in Livingstone (Lot 2) and Ndola (Lot 3) and Extension of Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka (Lot 1), Zambia. The bidders are at liberty to tender for all lots but the maximum lots to be awarded to any successful bidder is two (2) Lots.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the office of the Head - Procurement and Supplies Unit, situated at Ndeke House, Longacres, Lusaka, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ZMW 2,000.00 or its equivalent in cash or by bank certified cheque. The contact telephone numbers are 260-211-253040/5 and the telefax number is 260-211-253344. HOWEVER, TELEGRAPHIC OR TELEFAX BIDS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security of 2% of the Bid Price. The Bid Security shall be duly signed and sealed by the Guarantor(s).

Submission Procedure
Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Bidding documents. All Bids, in sealed envelopes, bound and clearly marked Tender for the Proposed Construction of the Cancer Treatment Centres in Livingstone (Lot 2) and Ndola (Lot 3) and Extension of Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka (Lot 1), Zambia shall be deposited in the Tender box and addressed to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, not later than Friday, 6th May, 2022 at 10:30 hours local time. The bids will be opened immediately, thereafter in the presence of bidders who choose to attend. LATE BIDS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to award of contract without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders, or any obligation to inform the affected bidder or bidders of the grounds for the purchaser's action.
