This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in United Nations Development Business online (UNDB Online) of 20.10.2015 and on the African Development Bank's Website (www.afdb.org)

The Provincial Administration, Northern Province through funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) on behalf of Lake Tanganyika Development Project intends to engage a contractor to complete the construction of Nsumbu Hospital, in Nsama District of Northern Province(hereinafter called "the Works").Open Bidding method will be conducted in accordance with the Bank's Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works and, specifically, through Single Stage Bidding Procedures. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are those of the Bank's Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Small Works which is available on the Bank's website at http://www.aldb.org.

The Provincial Administration, Northern Province now invites bids from cligible bidders to bid for the COMPLETION OF THE CHILDREN AND FEMALE WARDS AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW STRUCTURES AT NSUMBU HOSPITAL IN NSUMBU, NSAMA DISTRICT NORTHERN PROVINCE. The bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Bank's Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works and specifically, through Single Stage Bidding Procedures. A site Meeting will be held on 12 July 2022 at 10:00hrs local time in Nsumbu, Nsumbu Hospital in Nsama District of Northern Province.

The Bid must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Procurement and Supplies Unit Office, at the reception, Kasama, Northern Province, accompanied with a 2% bid security in form of Bank Guarantee or Bond from reputable financial institution. Submission Procedure

ELECTRONIC OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The bid shall be submitted in accordance with the instructions to Bidders contained in the Bidding documents. The bid in sealed envelopes shall be clearly marked: "TENDER FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE CHILDREN AND FEMALE WARDS AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW STRUCTURES AT NSUMBU HOSPITAL IN NSUMBU, NSAMA DISTRICT NORTHERN PROVINCE - NPPC/W/03/2022". Do not open before Friday 29 July 2022 at 10:00 hours local time. Note that in line with the instructions to bidders contained in the bidding document, the bidder will be required to provide Environmental and Social (ES) obligations Performance Security in addition to usual performance security to guarantee performance on Es obligations before contract signing

The Closing date for receipt of bids is on, Friday 29 July 2022 at 10:00 hours local time, at which time the bids received will be opened. The sealed bids must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Procurement and Supplies Unit Office, at the reception, Kasama, Northern Province before 10:00hrs local time. Bids must be submitted 1 Original and 4 Copes clearly marked. LATE OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
