DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Territory Sales – Field Sales Account Executive – Senior to join our team specializing in PowerGen Sales for our Distribution Business Unit in Kitwe, Zambia.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identify and Develop Opportunities: Proactively prospect and research potential customers to grow the business.
- Build and Execute Account Plans: Independently create and implement strategies to achieve sales goals and build strong customer relationships.
- Strengthen Customer Relationships: Develop new relationships and enhance existing ones to understand customer needs and offer tailored Cummins solutions.
- Drive Sales and Achieve Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct Effective Negotiations: Negotiate terms and conditions according to company guidelines, including payment terms, to close deals successfully.
- Manage Accounts Receivables: Assist in the collection of receivables and maintain acceptable levels of past due accounts.
- Utilize Sales Tools and Processes: Leverage the Cummins Sales Process, CRM tools, and other initiatives to support sales and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced account executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Adaptability: The ability to explain complex topics in a way that your target audience can understand, retain, and use the information effectively.
- Strategic Account Management: Skills to assess the current status of accounts and define achievable targets that align with both customer requirements and business capabilities.
- Customer-Centric Approach: An understanding of the customer’s perspective to develop sales content that meets their needs and drives revenue.
- Sales Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Proficiency in collecting and analyzing customer data to forecast future consumption patterns and proactively manage the sales pipeline to achieve sales objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Significant experience with Diesel Generator Sales and Technical background
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Significant B2B Technical sales experience
- Experience with handling medium to big scale accounts
- Electrical/Mechanical background
- Ability to manage overdues on customer transactions
