Expression of Interest for Travel Consultant to carry out the Engagement of Travelers for the ToursByLocals Zambia

ToursByLocals Zambia Limited is a startup travel service company that operates in Zambia. At a global level, ToursByLocals operate as a tour connection company that brings travelers across the world to connect with local tour guides and local people in order to enable the travelers have an enhanced indigenous travel experience. In Zambia, we focus on creating travel opportunities for everyone to stand a better chance of traveling and visit their dream destination. At the same time raising funds to support social programs through our partner organizations in climate change, tourism development, agriculture, education, health services and social-welfare. Purpose of ToursByLocals Zambia
The aim of ToursByLocals Zambia is to develop and create low budget travel packages that are tailored to meet the demands of the low-income earners globally in order to afford them an opportunity to travel and reach their dream destinations in Zambia, the region and the world at large. At the same time working tirelessly raising funds to support social programs through our partner organizations.

Problem Solving Justification
The company was established “to enable everyone afford an opportunity to travel and visit their dream destination in the world”. We developed the travel packages that are designed in a unique way, which will be the best and one that will provide an equitable opportunity for anyone to stand a better chance of traveling to Zambia (or within Zambia), the region and the world at an affordable cost. At the same time raising funds to support social programs through our partner organizations in climate change, tourism development, agriculture, education, health services and social-welfare.

Travel Tourism Background
As you may be aware, the travel and tourism industry is one of the world’s largest industries, and Worldwide the tourism industry has experienced steady growth almost every year except during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today with the availability of COVID-19 vaccination worldwide, it is anticipated that the travel tourism is bound to bounce back and people around the world are traveling once again. Looking at the Zambian tourism outlook, the Zambian government embarked on an aggressive and ambitious economic policy change, from a government driven economy to a private sector driven one. As Zambian’s reliance on mining industry fades away, tourism alongside agricultural industries have now become the focus of government as a viable alternative to economic sustainability.

Expression of Interest
ToursByLocals Zambia now wishes to invite interested Consultants (either Individuals or Companies) to express interest in carrying out the engagement of partner organizations for ToursByLocals Zambia Limited in Zambia. Only Consultants that shall meet the qualification and experience requirement below shall be invited to submit their full technical and financial proposal.
Desired Qualification and Experience of the Consultant

The consultant must possess the following qualifications and experience;
• Degree in relevant field of study preferably travel, hospitality, sales and marketing
• Good background with at least 5 years of experience, actively working in travel, hospitality sales and marketing
• Familiarity with local and international travel destinations
• Provide evidence of having worked with active travelers
• Proven excellent reputation and rapport with your work
• Good communication and report writing skills

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree

All interested consultants are required to submit their Curriculum Vitae or Company profile clearly showing the above qualification and experience. Same should be submitted to toursbylocals@outlook.com  not later than 17:00hrs on Tuesday 12th October 2021.
Consultancy Duration
The consultant once contracted is expected to carry out the assignment on a continuous basis with regular intervals of performance assessment. However, the first phase of engagement is expected to last for two (2) years from date of signing the contract. The assignment is expected to take place from the month of October 2021.
