JOB DETAILS:
TackleAfrica Zambia is governed by a board of Trustee Directors with a range of knowledge and experience in the areas of international development, fundraising, sport for development, finance, HIV, adolescent behavior, organisation development and law.
The charity is currently searching for new members to join its Zambia board who have relevant
experience in one or more of the following areas :

Communications/marketing
SRHR
Monitoring Evaluation and Learning
Football and/or Sport for Development
Resource Mobilisation/Corporate Engagement
As a member of the board you would be involved in oversight of the charity’s strategic
development as well as in its major decision-making. As with all board appointments,
Trustee Directors are jointly accountable for proper governance and management of the
charity.
The board meets formally three times per year. In addition, members are encouraged to
contribute directly to fundraising activities, to working groups and by offering advice
and guidance to the team in Zambia as well as East and West Africa.
Key Role: As a member of the board
General
Ensure that TackleAfrica Zambia complies with relevant regulations related to both charity
and company law
Ensure the effective direction of the charity is pursued, in terms of its strategy, its
management, its financial sustainability, its policies and procedures
Participation in events and activities that ensure that the organisation is fully
engaged with the wider SRHR and sport for development sectors
Specific – depending on experience
Providing support and advice to the members of the team, based on individual
expertise and identified needs.
Acting as an advocate for TackleAfrica
Participation in relevant working groups
Freely giving of own expertise and experience to the charity

Fully aligned with the stated core values and behaviours of TackleAfrica
Commitment to helping TackleAfrica achieve its goals and ambitions
Experience working in one or more of:-
The SRHR sector, and/or
Football or Sport for Development, and/or
Communications/Marketing, especially digital marketing, and/or
Monitoring Evaluation and Learning
Appreciation of the public benefit focus of the Charity sector
Knowledge, understanding or interest in SRHR
Committed to the 7 Nolan Principles of Public Life
