The Key Purpose of this role of the Utilities Process Operator is to safely operate and maintain the Utilities plant to produce a consistent
product/service/utility of the right quality/quantity at optimum cost.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor utilities equipment (boilers, compressors, pumps, WTP.) to meet plant demands.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and carry out corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate operational records, logbooks, and reports for utilities performance.
- Assist in the commissioning of new utilities equipment and support continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting risk assessments and safe work practices (e.g., LOTOTO, confined space entry).
- Work closely with production teams to ensure utilities availability aligns with operational requirements.
- Support energy and water-saving initiatives to help achieve sustainability targets.
- Report and escalate major equipment failures or deviations from operational standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Min – Full Craft Certificate
- Ideal – FTC ( Mech/Elec) or Electromechanical
Experience:
- 1 Year in Manufacturing industry
- Qualified trade-tested artisan
