II. Project Description
• This position will work with Venture37-implemented projects in Zambia. Currently, this includes the USAID–funded Cooperative Resilience and Equity activity “CORE”, and CGIAR Funded Accelerated Innovative Development Initiative Project (AIDI).
• CORE works to foster vibrant, sustainable cooperative ecosystems in Zambia, in which self-managed cooperatives and all their members flourish economically and socially. Through CORE, Venture37 will take a localized and market-responsive approach, engaging market actors, including women and youth in activity design, implementation, and measurement to tailor activities to their unique needs while strengthening their capacity to create sustainable solutions.
• The Accelerated Innovation Delivery Initiative (AIDI) is a CGIAR initiative consisting of a series of rapid impact interventions aiming to ensure that smallholder farmers in key food production areas of sub-Saharan Africa have the information and innovation they need to offset the increase of food, fuel and fertilizer prices brought on by the war in Ukraine. The initiative aims to support resource-poor smallholder farmers and micro, small and medium size enterprises in the poultry sector to increase production and productivity through access to know-how, vaccinations, improved breeds, and financing mechanisms.

III. Goal / Objectives
• The Consultant will support Venture37 staff in the United States and incoming staff in Zambia to quickly establish a functioning project office in Lusaka to serve the AIDI and CORE projects. This includes identifying, vetting, and supporting the contracting a secure office space, identifying services for logistics and administration for project operations.

IV. Key Activities
a. Identify at least four potential office spaces for consideration to house 15 staff in Lusaka and obtain quotes. Support Venture37 staff to vet different office spaces and determine the best option.
b. Identify potential internet services, office supply providers, and equipment providers (e.g.: motorcycles dealers), and other services.
c. Develop a cost-effective plan for procuring equipment locally or importing the necessary laptops and IT equipment.
d. Assist with identifying a payroll company.
e. Support Identification of Preferred Providers for long-term project transportation services (contracted vehicles and drivers).
f. Support Venture37 staff and AIDI and CORE project partners in planning and executing travel to Zambia as and when necessary.
g. Other services as required for mobilization of AIDI and CORE.
