JUNIOR CONSULTANT
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Contract Length: 1 year
Remuneration: Range from ZMW 3,500 to ZMW 6,500 gross per month (excl. 25% gratuity)
Background:
Agova is an impact-driven consultancy that finds business value in addressing social
Challenges. Since 2014, Agova has been delivering management and technical advice to actors in the business sector in Zambia to develop business models and norms that increase economic, social and environmental prosperity. We aim to leverage capital, data and innovative ideas to develop a sustainable form of poverty reduction; one that focuses on creating win-win, or ‘shared value’, business models within our client organisations such that commercial imperatives can be whilst improving the livelihoods of their low-income customer and supplier segments. Agova has been registered in Zambia since August 2014 and has been a venture supported by Engineers without Borders since 2011. .

Job Description:
Research and identification of potential partners;
Secondary and desk research;
• Field research (often qualitative using Human Centered Design methodology);
• Data analysis and reporting;
• Setting up and coordination of meetings;
• Attending, co-leading and taking minutes on informational meetings with
• partners/stakeholders;
• Lead meetings with smaller potential partners;
• Basic financial modeling and/or analysis (with support);
• Support with project design and/or implementation;
• Facilitation of trainings
• Ad Hoc support to Agova’s administrative and operations tasks like processing/filing
• expenses for projects, coordinating training with relevant stakeholders (venues, trainers, meals), procurement, printing etc; and
• Low level adhoc project management tasks like developing work plans, monitoring
• budgets, etc.

Required Skills:
• A relevant four-year Bachelor’s degree;
• Minimum one-year of work experience (including volunteering)
• An interest in Shared Value (businesses solving social/environmental challenges);
• High-level computer literacy with a solid command of the Microsoft Suite;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Ability to follow a work plan/instructions and produce deliverables within set timelines and
• Ability to travel around Lusaka/Zambia (when required).
