Job Description
CSG Talent is looking for Control and Instrumentation for a reputable company. We offer excellent pay and great work atmosphere in a safe location. .

The main Duties & Responsibilities of the Position are to:
• Implement safety awareness and reinforce safe working practices through regular safety meetings, on-the-job safety training and modeling the relevant safety behavior;
• Drive compliance to Health, Safety & Environment, and environmental licensing & permitting requirements by implementing appropriate practices, standards and procedures;
• Continuously practicing safe, healthy, environmentally friendly work practices in accordance to EHS policies and procedures;
• Within 30 days of duty commencement present a comprehensive training program to the subordinates;
• Monitor progress against the C & I planned or set projects identify deviations and re-allocate resources where required;
• Completing scheduled maintenance as per work schedules assigned and per procedure;
• Prompt and thorough action with start-up, shutdowns and downtimes / plant and equipment availability;
• Completing regular visual inspections and test on plant & equipment;
• Involvement with troubleshooting and problem solving;
• Maintaining and backing up the PLC system;
• Maintaining and backing up the SCADA system;
• Delegating work to subordinates and organising resources;
• Empower employees and emerging leaders and specialists to achieve operational excellence;
• Ensure that operational problems are resolved within appropriate levels of accountability and responsibility for individuals and teams;
• Effectively manage employee performance and create opportunities for them to gain the competence for the work required;
• Calibrating and repairing instruments and associated equipment;
• Working with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes;
• Measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes;
• Testing instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipment;
• Coordinating crew activities as required and maintaining records and files;
• Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics;
• Repairing and adjusting system components or removing and replacing defective parts;
• Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment;
• Produce Short Interval Control (SIC) reports on daily basis;
• Stand in for Superintendent and ensure effective feedback upon his return.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
• National Higher Diploma Electronics, B Tech/ BSc (Electronics), B Eng (Electronics) Degree (Minimum/Essential)
The candidate is required to have at least 10 years combined in the projects then maintenance sector experience, with a Control and Instrumentation, PLC and DCS systems.
Other
• Valid Passport and good physical health.
• African experience
• The rotation periods are for 6 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off for Rest and Recuperation. (subject to site conditions)
