PLANT ENGINEER
CONTRACT: PERMANENT .

Reporting to the Brewery Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
• Maintaining a safe, healthy and risk free working environment.
• Managing human resources.
• Optimising plant and equipment availability and reliability.
• Optimising process performance.
• Managing planned maintenance system integrity and optimal usage.
• Facilitating problem solving.
• Ensuring that all team members are fully conversant with the Manufacturing Way and Business Centred Maintenance GEM.
• Developing and driving implementation plans to progress maturity in the Manufacturing Way principles and practices.
• Cost Control.
• Project management.

The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes.
• BSc Engineering Degree – Mechanical or Electrical.
• Be a Registered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers.
• Diploma in Packaging or Brewing plus 2 years on the job training an added advantage.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Way strategies and initiatives.
• Good knowledge of packaging and brewing production processes and technologies.
• Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems such as SAP.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Analytical problem solver.
• Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance practices.
• Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing and environmental systems including.
• ISO 14001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems such as OHSAS 18001 and NOSA.

Job Education Requirements: BSc Engineering Degree – Mechanical or Electrical.

Job Experience Requirements: At least 5 years’
