Job Summary/Responsibilities:
Senior Technical Officer, HIV Prevention will work directly under the Care and Treatment Lead to enhance systems for client retention for the PEPFAR/Centre for Disease Control (CDC) funded, FHI 360-led Technical Assistance (TA) Project to the Eastern Province Health Office (EPHO). S/he will assist in providing technical support in all HIV Prevention services including VMMC, PNS/Index testing, PrEP, CaCx, eMTCT and GBV/IPV. S/he will support EPHO to expand anti-retroviral therapy (ART) access and retention services in the province. S/he will use statistical analysis systems, such as other data analytics as appropriate to support the facility-based Client Experience Associate (CEA) to ensure respectful, responsible client experience. S/he will provide technical support and oversee the provision of treatment literacy, attendance to clients’ inquiries/queries/complaints and facilitation of feedback from the healthcare team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership for all HIV prevention interventions Supports design, monitoring and evaluation of activities regarding HIV prevention orientation, and mentorship of teams who lead these activities. Designs and oversees the implementation of integration of HIV and other services including TB, VMMC, PNS/Index testing, PrEP, CaCx, eMTCT and GBV/IPV. Supports strengthening of bidirectional referrals and linkages within facilities, and between facilities and community partners. Based on data, creates, or revises concepts based needed to facilitate strategic HIV prevention goals for client experience. Supports verification systems for maintaining, updating, and managing client referral records and feedback. Supports capacity building and contributes to the overall strategic goals of any assigned programs. Strengthen the implementation of recency testing and HIV case surveillance Oversee the supervision of Client Experience Associates based in Chipata. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
Degree in Public health or its International Equivalent, Masters degree will be added advantage Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field. Nurse, Clinical Officer, Medical Doctor, or related qualification Advanced training in HIV Prevention (including CxCa, GBV, PrEP), Clinical Care/ART, and training in program management. Typically requires 8+ years of project management experience within a research environment. Articulate, professional, and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English, also local languages. Related prior work experience preferred. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.

JOB DETAILS: Clinical Care Officer
Overview
DawaMom is is a standardized mobile clinic that delivers maternal and neonatal health through a digital health platform leveraging a vast network of trained 1st level clinicians and community health workers (CHWs) for emerging markets.
Each 1st level clinician is equipped with point-of-care technology and a mobile-first health platform that help them triage, profile, and manage women who need on-demand maternal health services. Additionally, a network of CHWs supports 1st level clinicians to mobilize and identify patients in communities.
Description:
Dawa Health is looking for Clinical Officers (CO) residing in Kalingalinga & Chelstone, Lusaka for its specific areas program. The CO will provide triage, CHW managerial, and patient support throughout the duration of the contract and will be responsible for the screening, clinical examination, CHWs selection & monitoring, and oversight of all last-mile health activities. The CO will serve as the principal institutional liaison to the patients and community health workers and is expected to have regular communication with the Dawa Health Clinician Network Lead and Head of Operations.
Responsibilities:
• Triage and examine patients in the above-mentioned residential areas
• Manage the DawaMom point-of-care kit instrumental to the mobile clinic model
• Oversee a team of Community Health Workers (CHWs) mobilizing and improving the health-seeking behaviors of women.
• Represent the company at the community level to identify potential partnerships and marketing channels
• Ensure timely, high-quality, and complete submission of patient forms on the DawaMom platform
• Oversee the identification of key health centers, wellness shops, and cosmetic shops that act as focal nodes in the last-mile health network
Qualifications
• A Diploma/Degree (Medical Licentiate) in clinical medicine
• An HPCZ practicing license
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability through previous experience and quick decision making
• Demonstrated ability through previous experience to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills in English & Nyanja
• Relevant computer software skills, including access to a smartphone
