Overview
To insure that all the financial reports are properly done and are as per the international financial reporting. Also, to ensure that all the government taxes are paid in good time and as per the Zambia laws.
Job Description
• put daily transactions into our finance system
• Preparation of the government taxes and ensuring that they are paid in time Advising the company on tax issues
• Preparation of final financial reports for the company
• Supervision of other accounts assistants
• Analysis of all statutory deductions like NAPSA,payee and ensuring that all paid in time
• Organizing and liaising with company external Auditors and ensuring that the Audits are conducted in time
• Responding to company correspondence between ZRA
Qualifications
• Bacelors Degree in Accounting or/ ACCA level 2/ ZICA Licenciate/ CIMA
• 29 – 35 years of Age
• Knowledge in Taxation laws, income tax, file returns
• 5-10 years of experience
• Must have worked with a reputable accounting system in the past
• Must be willing to work OT or Holidays if company requiress

JOB DETAILS:Overview
Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyze ATS operations for trends, volume, demographics, and operator metrics to support costings
o This will require a strong understanding of global economic trends and their impact on projects.
• Utilize historical data sets and planned product changes to model and forecast
• Prepare the costing of remote camp solutions. This will entail the solution design / service offering, costing the solution and the performance of all commercial and financial related activities;
• Be abreast with in-country legislations and related regulations to the Remote Camp industry (specific to African countries)
o This will require a strong global awareness particularly toward African countries.
• Develop and maintain costing baseline data across the designated geographies (HR Data, M&E costs (where possible), EAMS data and related costs, etc.)
• Liaise with potential suppliers for costing purposes
o Build and hold strong relationships with suppliers
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional marketing, sales and in-country leadership teams across the designated geographies
• Support In-Country Stakeholders during bid stage(s) to achieve the best solution possible related to a proposal/tender
Skills and Competencies
• Advance MS Excel
• Experience in completing the tender process i.e. RFI, RFP/RFQ to actual submission and post submission activities.
• Advance Commercial and financial acumen.
• The candidate must be highly analytical and have experience in preparing and optimising financial models (cash-flow / lifecycle, etc).
• Computer Literate in MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects)
• Project Management
Qualifications
• 2 years’ experience in a related position would be deemed appropriate for this level position.
• Ideally the individual should come from a service industry background with a bachelor’s degree or similar work experience.
• Previous experience as an operational manager or similar operational role would be an advantage.
• 2 years budgetary experience is essential

JOB DETAILS:Senior Finance Assistant
Scope Of Work:
The Senior Finance Assistant will provide accounting support to ensure efficient operation of the Great Lakes Trade Facilitation and Integration Project under the direct supervision of the Finance Expert and overall supervision of the Director Budget and Finance. The Project Accountant will be required to provide financial and accounting services relating to processing and recording of financial transactions and financial reporting.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Ensure expenditure and payment packs comply with requirements; valid supporting documents, authorizing and signing mandates reflect on documents in line with institutional approvals;
• Apply general ledger and reporting analysis codes in capturing and recording of financial transactions;
• Compilation of costing, supporting expenditure estimates, outstanding commitments and contracts;
• Communicate status regarding unspent/available budget and funds;
• Handle imprest – processing of expenditure imprest, follow ups on imprests and facilitating retirement of imprest;
• Be aware of applicable grant management requirements;
• Update assets and inventory of the grant; with receipts, disposals and other movements;
• Tag all grant assets and inventory;
• Reconcile fixed assets register to the general ledger;
• Compile bank and fund reconciliations;
• Update payroll expenditure;
• Maintain financial records by ensuring all documents supporting receipts and payments are matched;
• Filing of financial records;
• Carry out follow-ups for receivables and payables;
• Support the Finance Expert in compilation and provision of information and schedules towards: preparation of monthly management accounts, budget spending reports, cashflow projections, annual accounts and managing significant risks in financial control and accounting;
• Support the Finance Expert in compilation and provision of information and schedules to facilitate audits and reviews;
• Support the Finance Expert in implementation of control findings; and
• Perform other job-related duties as directed by Division Head to achieve COMESA mandate.
Education Qualifications
• Minimum Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional Certifications/Qualifications: Minimum level 2 CIMA/ACCA / ZICA or any other Professional Accountancy Body
Professional Skills and Experience Requirements
• Knowledge of any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in similar position
