Chilanga Cement, Ndola Plant, is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individuals to take up the roles of;
Position: Procurement Specialist
Location: Ndola
Overall Mission of the Role: Support and execute the operational and tactical procurement of goods and services. Support the implementation of procurement strategies in close cooperation with the procurement manager.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare bid specifications, issue bid requests and review bid proposals and quotations and select vendors to procure goods/services meeting specific criteria.
• Negotiate agreements, purchase terms and conditions as specified in Chilanga Cement procurement manual/policy.
• Monthly reviews of Open Capex and Opex POS to ensure that no Capex PO remains open for over a year and all Opex POS are closed within 6 months.
• Ensures that all supply requirements are negotiated, documented and committed within established policies and delegation of authority in order to achieve a satisfactory audit rating.
• Keeps track of all measurable savings: cost reduction, cost avoidance and scope re-engineering.
• Ensures that all delivered goods and services are acknowledged and deviances resolved and also ensure that all supplier commitments are met.
• Keeps all contracts up to date on the shared drive and Informs users about expiring contracts.
