Role: Software Developer (Multiple Levels available)
Objective of role: We’re looking for motivated engineers with excellent programming, problem solving and communication skills. The ideal candidates would have designed and developed a number of Android, React or Java applications.
Work Arrangement: Full-time, Onsite
Key Outcomes
• Analyze user requirements, mockups, and designs to program into working software
• Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions for our clients
• Write and test code to ensure compatibility and stability: refine and rewrite as necessary
• Create clear technical specifications
• Expand existing software to meet the changing needs and requirements of each project.
• Convert high level design into API’s, libraries, classes, functions, procedures, database schemas (if not specified in the high-level design) and and other software entities
• Release management – “packages” the fully tested software for deployment or in a form that can be delivered to customers who then deploy the software on their own computers (servers and/or desktops/laptops/smartphones/tablets).
Core Competencies
• Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
• Programming experience, in Java and Android
• Proactive and self motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Strong system level understanding and excellent debugging skills
• Familiarity with modern server network technologies (e.g., async, non-blocking IO, etc.)
Requirements
• Minimum degree in computer science or the equivalent experience
• Minimum 1-2 years experience designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable applications and web services in Android or any modern stack.
• Proof/Details of software development experience through demonstrable tools, applications and solutions they have developed for Android
Hiring Process
Our hiring process consists of standard interviews followed by paid probation lasting 3 Months.
Fixed Term Contract Length: Renewable subject to operational requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installing and configuring internal laptops and printers and carrying out general maintenance for all NetOne IT Staff as well as attend to all technical challenges faced internally by staff.
• Troubleshooting of Network and PC.
• Acting as the first point of contact for all NetOne Data customers for all types of services offered.
• Creating and configuring mailboxes and distribution groups for internal and external staff on the multitenant exchange platform as well as respond to password reset requests.
• Logging tickets with ISPs for all WAN links being supported by NetOne Data and communicating with the customer over resolution.
• Escorting and monitoring co-location clients as they come through to work on their infrastructure. Ensuring to verify the clients’ details using the Access request form and ID, or the email sent by authorized personnel.
• Checking for volume size and replication schedule.
• Following the troubleshooting steps when replication is not taking place e.g. ping the server, check the size of the volume and ask for log files etc.
• Ensuring that weekly synchronization reports are sent every morning.
• Ensuring that replication status reports are sent every day.
Undertaking any other duties/tasks (as assigned) or responsibility required to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the job within the overall objectives of NetOne IT Limited.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or any related field.
• CCNA Cisco Certified Network Association Certification will be an added advantage
• Excellent technical knowledge and application in administration on Windows Servers and Desktop Operating System
• Software and Hardware troubleshooting.
• Excellent Technical Knowledge in Configuring/Troubleshooting of network devices such as Switches, Routers, firewall etc.
• Excellent knowledge of Configuring/Troubleshooting Routing protocols – EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
• Excellent knowledge of Configuring/Troubleshooting Application protocols – HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL etc.
