Essential Educational Requirements
• Minimum requirement: 1st degree in Education;
• Registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia with a TCZ Practicing Certificate;
• Experience of using an effective performance appraisal system,
• Ability to calmly manage complaints, conflicts and divisions, sensitively and constructively in order to achieve restoration

Experience
• At least five years successful teaching and leadership experience in a Primary School;
• Significant successful experience as a senior leader within a school

Mathematics/Geography Teacher
St Ignatius College a Jesuit owned secondary school seeks to recruit qualified and experienced Zambian national to fill the above stated position.
Purpose of the job
To implement and deliver a learning program that is adequate, wide, balanced, relevant and differentiated for learners while supporting specific curricular areas as required.
Reporting accountability
The Teacher shall report to the Head of Department Mathematics.

Key responsibilities
1. Implementing excellent teaching practice as described by the college policy
2. Differentiating learning and assessment to meet the needs of individual learners.
3. To ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives
4. To ensure that all lessons are delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and college policies
5. To consider the differing ability lessons of learners and differentiate work accordingly
6. To encourage all learners to be actively engaged in their own learning and rewarding their progress against targets
7. To encourage and foster intellectual curiosity

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Full Grade Twelve School Certificate with 5 O levels.
2. Minimum of a Degree in Education
3. Experience with IGCSE will be an added advantage
4. Must hold a valid teacher practising license
5. Minimum of five years’ experience in a reputable learning institution
6. The applicant should also have an interest in learner’s affairs holistically
