JOB DETAILS:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan, organise and co-ordinate security strategies in order to provide the company with an efficient security service in Safeguarding the company's installations, equipment, personnel and customer property.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Initiate, formulate, and coordinate security strategies to prevent theft and fraud.
• Analyse crime and intelligence reports and initiate investigations and operations in compliance with the Laws of Zambia
• Oversee the Development and implementation of operational plans to facilitate manpower forecasting.
• Ensure employee adherence to company policies and guidelines.
• Analyse daily incident reports on important occurrences.
• Prompt preparation of monthly crime and intelligence reports.
• Prompt response to crimes, accidents and class A and B derailments and its effects.
• Manage all outsourced security functions.
• Develop confidential record keeping procedures and manage records in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
• Inspect the implementation of Fuel Management System (FMS).
• Provide input in vetting prospective employees.
• Ensure effective record keeping and maintenance system for archives.
• Develop and implement cost saving measures system.
• Ensure prompt preparation of quarterly performance reports. Provide technical expertise on all security matters.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Full grade 12 certificate (50 levels) with credit or better in Mathematics and English
• A bachelor's degree in Criminology or its equivalent.
• A master's degree is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years' experience in a senior management position.
• Membership to a relevant professional body is a must.
