Overview
The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament. Teaching Profession Act No. 5 of 2013. The mandate of the TCZ is to provide for the regulation of teachers. their practice and professional conduct. provide for the accreditation and regulation of colleges of education.
The institution has two (2) vacancies for Inspections Officers (TC 05) and Is now inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to apply for the positions.
Job Purpose
To undertake inspections on teaching practitioners and institutions in order to ensure compliance to regulations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspections: undertakes effectively, the monitoring of teaching practitioners and institutions in order to ensure adherence to standard of education.
• Surveillance: undertakes and coordinates effectively. the undertaking of surveillance activities in order to facilitate investigation
• Investigations: undertakes effectively investigation of teaching practitioners and institutions in order to general information.
• Inspection Reports: undertakes effectively the preparation of inspection reports in order to facilitate decision making
• Monitoring and Evaluation: undertakes timely. monitoring and evaluation of programmes and activities in order to facilitate development of appropriate interventions.
• Database: undertakes regularly the maintenance of an up to date database in order to facilitate storage and retrieval of information.
Requirements
• Applicants must be aged between 25 — 45years;
• A Full Grade Twelve (12)/Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’level credit or better including English Language and Mathematics;
• Bachelors of Arts Degree in Education or its equivalent
• 2 years minimum experience
