JOB DETAILS:
ZICTA is looking to employ two (2) Project Officers to work under the Universal Access and Service Fund who will be responsible for the planning, designing and execution of the Authority’s projects in line with the Authority’s strategic goals and advice on prioritization and viability of proposed projects.

Specification
Key Responsibilities
•Plans, designs, schedules and coordinates all activities for different projects;
•Prepares technical details and specifications including costing/budgeting for projects;
•Undertakes feasibility and business case analyses prior to project approval and implementation;
•Identifies areas and activities for the purpose of programming projects for extending universal access services to the general citizenry;
•Prepares various project reports as required;
•Carries out assignments in relation to the development and monitoring and control of programs/projects;
•Provides project management support to other internal departments and units of the Authority;
•Carries out research and data collection related to the Authority’s projects;
•works closely with internal and external stakeholders in developing project initiation and planning documents;
•Participates in the development of project management policies and guidelines, and ensuring their enforcement in the user departments/units of the institution;
•Ensures maintenance of project records and documentation in an efficient and effective manner;
•Performs any other function as may be assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
•University degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Computer Science Engineering or other relevant discipline.
•Three (3) years working experience in project planning and management.
•Practical experience in usage of project methodologies and standards.
•Project Management Certifications (PMP) will be an added advantage.
•Knowledge in MS Project
•Advanced Knowledge in MS applications
•Knowledge in GIS and Microwave Link design and planning software tools.
• Full grade 12 school certificate
