JOB DETAILS:
• Chibuluma Mines Plc, a copper mining company, which is a subsidiary of METOREX LIMITED. The company operates the Chibuluma South and Chifupu ore bodies. The Company is located in Kalulushi District.
• The mining company is looking for 2 underground drivers to be responsible for driving underground vehicles and ensuring safety underground protocols and procedures when driving the vehicles.

Responsibilities
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on company vehicle, such as checking oil, tires, and brakes.
• Report maintenance problems and vehicle issues
• Safely drive company vehicles to and from various underground locations.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections on the vehicle, identifying and reporting if any maintenance requirements.
• Strict adherence to protocols and procedures while driving the vehicle underground.
• Keeping records of daily activities, including hours worked, vehicle usage, and any incidents faced during the shift.
• Effective communication with mining staff to coordinate transportation needs
• Always strive for a zero-incident/accident culture at all times
• Able to adapt to varying underground conditions and environment
• Adhere to company procedures, policies, and guidelines at all times
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by your supervisor or management.

Requirements:
• Grade 12 full certificate
• Class C Driver’s license
• At least 5 years’ experience as a driver with a clean driving record and able to drive underground land cruiser
• Knowledge of basic mechanics
• Flexible to work long shift hours
• Valid silicosis certificate
• Honest and with good communication skills
