JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for a highly skilled Auto Body Technician(3) (Panel Beater) to join our automotive repair workshop. As a panel beater, you will be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles, estimating the cost of repairs, and repairing vehicles to their original condition.
To ensure success as a panel beater, you should have experience with body repair kits, spray painting and welding equipment & hydraulic lifters.

Panel Beater Responsibilities:
1. Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests.
2. Managing customer expectations.
3. Preparing repair or modification cost estimates and finalizing agreements.
4. Planning, organizing, and scheduling the workflow.
5. Regularly updating customers on the progress of their repairs.
6. Restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches, and spray painting panels.
7. Accommodating customization requests.
8. Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards.

Panel Beater Requirements:
1. Panel beater certification, or equivalent vocational training.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience as a Panel Beater is a must.
3. Spray painting, general welding, and brazing experience.
4. Ability to operate mechanical, hydraulic, and metalworking equipment.
5. Thorough knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations.
6. Physically fit and able to operate heavy machinery.
7. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
8. Availability to work overtime when needed.
