JOB DETAILS:
BKS is looking to hire four (4) mature drivers to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner.
Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and managing payments among others.Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that the vehicle being driven is in proper working condition at all times for the purpose of passenger safety. Divers shall further carry out an inspection of the vehicle every morning checking oil, radiator coolant levels and other basic checks.
• Should always maintain constant contact with the Operations Manager and Operations assistant and keep track of customer pickups and drop-offs as necessary.
• Must always respond to customer questions in a polite and friendly manner
• Should always deal with complaints and forward them to management
• Is expected to help clients with their luggage
• If problematic situations escalate, they have to contact the office or their supervisors
• Follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, even at the expense of arriving late at their destinations in the worst case scenario.
• If drivers encounter any unsafe conditions or road hazards, they must immediately report to the office.
• If vehicles develop any mechanical difficulties, they must document the problems and communicate needed repairs to mechanic
• Drivers are a first contact person for the organisation and must at all times uphold the standard of the organisation and ensure the market the services of the organisation at all times.
• Drivers should avoid engaging in any corrupt activities with the law enforcement authorities.
• Drivers will be required to work Shifts.
• Drivers shall at no point answer or make calls while driving company vehicles except in situations where they use the Bluetooth devices and hands-free devices
• Drivers shall at all times record their movement details in the log book and inform the logistics manager of all movements using company vehicles.
• Any other duties as may be required by the employer and supervisor from time to time.

  Job Qualifications:
• At least two years Proven experience as a Driver plus traceable references
• A valid driver’s license class C
• A clean driving record
• Good visual
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods within and outside Lusaka
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
• A polite and professional character
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A Grade twelve certificate
• Should be able to read and write as well as speak English and a local language
• Should be 30 years old and above
