JOB DETAILS:
JOB TITLE: HOSTEL ATTENDANT (4 POSITIONS)
PURPOSE: Responsible for planning and attending to the social welfare needs of students in the halls of residence .

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Participates in the preparation of sectional work plan and daily activity reports.
• Conducts physical checks to verify occupants of the hostels
• Reports vacant bed spaces and defects to property and infrastructure.
• Custodian of keys to the rooms.
• Issues mattresses and curtains to students who have been allocated rooms.
• Reports and attends to any sick student in the hostels and ensures that they are taken for medical attention.
• Maintains a proper record of students residing in the hostels
• Participates in the enforcement of the general rules and regulations for students living on campus
• Monitors the cleanliness of the kitchenettes and hostels.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 School Certificate;
• Minimum of a Certificate in House Keeping or Tourism and Hospitality or in a related field;
• A Certificate or Diploma in Records Management will be an added advantage;
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience
