JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview
The Shift Boss will be responsible for supervising and managing mining activities during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with safety standards and production goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise mining crews and coordinate activities to achieve production targets.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and safety meetings with team members.
• Monitor equipment performance and address operational issues promptly.
• Oversee drilling, blasting, and hauling operations.
• Enforce adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including production and equipment usage.
• Ensure proper handover between shifts for seamless operations.

Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Valid Blasting Certificate (BL).
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining operations.
• Valid Silicosis certificate.
• Fully paid-up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Associate Degree
