40 Data Entry Clerk
Overview
The Office of the Commissioner for Refugees is a Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security charged with the responsibility of managing the asylum processes in Zambia and overseeing the welfare of refugees.
The Office, with support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), intends to carry out a verification and re-registration exercise of all refugees, former refugees and asylum seekers or Persons of Concern (POC) for a period of three (3) months. To fulfil this assignment, temporary vacancies for 40 Data Entry Clerks have arisen under the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees funded project for refugee assistance.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Certificate or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized Public or Private Higher Learning Institution
• At least 1 year working experience in a mass electronic registration environment
• Practical knowledge in Structured Query Language will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of population management
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and writing skills
• Aged between 20 and 30 years
• Must be ready to work in remote areas of Zambia mainly in Western, North-Western and Luapula Provinces for most part of the duration of the exercise.
