JSI seeks highly qualified and accomplished public health leaders and staff for its United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-supported District Coverage of Health Services (USAID DISCOVER-Health) Project. The USAID DISCOVER-Health project aims to improve the lives of Zambians by ensuring equitable access to and use of high-quality HIV, maternal new-born and child health (MNCH), family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) services and products at the district and community levels. The project utilizes and sustains a health model that maximizes the relative strengths of the public and private sectors to deliver health products and services that reach all beneficiaries and consumer markets.
Job Purpose:
The Data Entry Clerks – COVAX is in charge of the data entry of all the required Covid vaccination data into the designated DHIS2 platform, through direct data entry and supervision of part-time data entrants.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Accurately enter Covid vaccination data into the designated DHIS2 platform for their respective district.
• Supervise and guide part-time data entrants during the periodic data entry activities (routine or mop-up) in their respective district.
• Collaborate with the District Health Information Officer in monitoring completeness and accuracy of data entry forms; assessing any data entry backlog; and coordinating data entry mop-up activities.
• Alongside the District Coordinator and the other district team members, facilitate the process of collecting and gathering the filled forms ready for data entry.
• Verify the existing supply of Covid vaccination forms at facility level; and submit orders to the Hub/Region to ensure constant availability of forms.
• Collaborate with and consult the Hub SI team for technical guidance.
Qualifications:
• Attained grade 12 full certificate.
• Certificate in computer studies or management of information systems.
• Computer proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in data entry.
• Previous experience and competence in the use of SMARTCARE is an added advantage.
