JOB DETAILS:
A leading Not-For-Profit organization is looking for an outstanding, results-oriented and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Accountant at its Lusaka office.

Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring that all accounting transactions are timely recorded in the books of accounts.
• Preparation of the monthly payroll and processing of various supplier payments.
• Ensure that invoices are timely raised and assist in making follow-ups on outstanding payment.
• Timely preparation and submission of statutory returns.
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Reconciliation of bank, creditor and debtor accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and quarterly management accounts.
• Help with coordination of both internal and external audits.
• Assist in the preparation of the organization’s budget
• Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications And Attributes
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized University.
• Finalist in CA Zambia or equivalent professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA etc.
• Full grade 12 Certificate with merits or better in both English and Mathematics.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
• Able to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• High integrity, good interpersonal and communication skills.
